In June 2025, ChatMoni began connecting customer conversations with product catalogues, orders, and a payment workflow, moving closer to a complete buying journey.
A customer might ask about a product, get a helpful answer, and still have to leave the conversation to find a catalogue, place an order, or figure out payment. Each extra step creates friction. We wanted ChatMoni to help businesses move naturally from answering a question to completing a purchase.
In June 2025, we expanded the product direction to include product catalogues and order workflows. This meant a business could present what it sells in a more structured way and connect product questions to the next practical action. A conversation could become the beginning of an order rather than a dead end.
Commerce is not just a payment button. Customers need to discover a relevant item, understand the offer, confirm what they want, and know what happens next. Bringing these steps closer together helped shape ChatMoni around the customer journey instead of treating chat, products, and orders as unrelated features.
We also worked on an escrow-style transaction flow integrated with Paystack as part of the early commerce direction. Payment handling is a serious part of any marketplace experience, so the design has to account for clear terms, transaction status, dispute handling, provider requirements, and applicable regulation. Integrations and product architecture must not be confused with a blanket claim of regulatory approval.
This stage established an important principle for ChatMoni: customer service and commerce should work together. The assistant should help a customer make an informed decision and make the next step easier, while the underlying order and payment processes remain clear.
The DNA engine moved ChatMoni toward assistants grounded in each business’s own knowledge, with guided onboarding designed for non-technical owners.
